Darren Myers was raised in Lebanon, MO. He and his family were faithful members of the Tabernacle Baptist Church. He put his trust in Jesus Christ as a child and surrendered his life to the Lord as a teenager. Since then, he has been involved in preaching and music ministry, and graduated from Baptist Bible College with a bachelor’s degree in Music Education in 1989. While in college, he met and married Tamara Nelson. Her father, Gerald Nelson, has pastored for many years in Missouri, Arkansas and Louisiana. After graduation, Darren and Tammy moved to Lebanon, MO to take the Music and Youth Ministry at Tabernacle Baptist Church under Pastor Hal Hightower.

After serving in Lebanon for 12 years, Darren accepted the call to become the Pastor of the Landmark Baptist Church in Rolla, MO. The church in Rolla grew and was blessed in many exciting ways over 13 years.  (The Myers family is sent out of the Landmark Baptist Church, where they are still members.)

In January of 2015, Pastor Myers went into full-time evangelism with the Freedom Focus Ministry. Darren and Tammy are excited to use their years of ministry experience to help local churches help America. Through preaching, teaching, music and multimedia presentations they desire to bring the truths of freedom alive for this generation.

Darren and Tammy have three sons, two of which are now married. Scott and Krystal (and grandchildren Willow and Nelson) now reside in Nixa, MO. Dustin and Lauren (and grandchildren Jude, Zion and Ada) reside in Springfield, MO. Daniel lives in Ozark, MO with audio and video recording studios in Springfield, MO and Harrison, AR.  He continues to help Freedom Focus, and has also founded for young people 15-25 years old.

All of the family loves America and contributes in some way to the ministry of Freedom Focus.
